Step One Behavioral & Residential is a nonprofit organization based in Phoenix, Arizona focused on providing structured, recovery-focused housing and behavioral health support for individuals facing substance use and co-occurring mental health challenges. Our approach is built on accountability, community, and long-term stability, helping individuals move forward with purpose and direction.
Our program philosophy is aligned with nationally recognized behavioral health and recovery standards supported by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration and informed by evidence-based practices in substance use disorder recovery. At the state level, we follow guidance established by the Arizona Department of Health Services as we continue program development in Phoenix.

Our goal is to expand access to recovery pathways that reduce homelessness, lower relapse rates, and support long-term reintegration into the community.
